Ice Cream Sandwich Rom for Evo Stable Version

Hello guys this is the Evervolv version 12 and it is stable. This rom is Android 4.0.3 and it is already in version 12 which means it has had some time to progress. This rom has been out for a couple months and it has gone far from the time it started. There are 2 things not working in this rom 4g and camcorder are not working. These are two pretty big things, but you can live without them if you don't picture often or take video that often. The rom is very stable and it runs mostly all the apps and games that you would want it to. The rom is also has evervolv toolbox which has a bunch of very cool tweaks that you can apply to your android system. A cool app that you can run in this rom is Google Chrome which I would definitely get that app if you are going to get any Ice Cream Sandwich rom it is the fastest browser out there now. This rom does get updated, but every couple weeks so you will get updated but it is not that often. This rom has some stability and it works pretty nice. You can easily use this rom as you daily driver. To download this rom click here to download Ice Cream Sandwich rom. After you flash this rom you must flash Gapps to get all your google apps like market and gmail. 6. Where are the virtual buttons? I thought that was a part of ICS UI. Can they be activated/deactivated?

    1. why would they put those virtual buttons in phones that already have touch capacitive buttons. That just takes up screen space for no reason that is not part of ics it is just in ics roms on phones that dont have the bottom buttons

  7. I'm a noob but I must ask is it possible to have both the Evervolve and CM9 ROM on the Evo 4G and switch between the two until I make up my mind which one I want? Will I then have to reapply any updates to the ROM each time I switch?

    1. no you can not run both at 1 time you have to run 1 at a time and if you switch between them then you have to wipe everything. You can get them both set up how you want and then make a nandroid backup of them and switch between nandroid backups I have a video and post on this website on how to do a nandroid backup

  8. So here's my checklist for rooting my evo 4g. I'd just like it spot checked
    to verify I've covered everything.

    1) Export my phone book entries to a file so that once a new ROM is flashed I can import them back in to the phone.

    2) Perform a Nandroid backup to save the original state of the phone and move this file to my PC.

    3) Make the decision for S-on or S-off and root the phone. I have hboot 2.18, Android 2.3.5 and software version 4.67.651.3.

    4) Perform another Nandroid backup amd move this file to my PC

    5) Flash a ROM and the google apps for it. Flashing will include clearing the cache and wiping the dalvic cache each time. There are 3 ROMs I'd like to try and after flashing and configuring each one I'll do a nandroid of it so that I can simply restore to switch among them (thanks for that tip). Would it be beneficial to do a clear cache and wipe dalvic cache
    before restoring?
